trinaTrina Gorman started Gorman Consulting in 2013. Before consulting, she worked for Innovations for Poverty Action in Uganda where she first led the fieldwork for a randomized trial and then co-led the country office – an office that was implementing over 20 randomized trials. She also spent two years supporting a nonprofit in Ghana, focusing on human centered design for illiterate communities. In her previous career, she was a technical writer at Microsoft. She has a Masters in Public Policy and is pursuing a PhD in Global Health, Implementation Science. In her free time … Trina doesn’t have any free time.

laurenLauren Schwartz brings expertise in epidemiology and infectious diseases, including a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and an MSPH in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to joining Gorman Consulting, Lauren designed field studies and analyzed results to evaluate different aspects of rotavirus vaccine introduction in collaboration with investigators in the US, Bangladesh, Kenya, Mali, and the Gambia. Lauren has also supported a number of vaccine-related projects at PATH and the WHO and was previously an epidemiologist for the NIH. Lauren spends her free time exploring the Northwest with her dog.

tashrikTashrik Ahmed joined Gorman Consulting after receiving his Ph.D. in International Health from Johns Hopkins University. His doctoral work on the epidemiology of Ebola in Liberia and community surveillance programs included two years in Liberia as the Country Director for a cooperative agreement with the CDC to strengthen health systems following the Ebola epidemic. Tashrik also has a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from George Washington University and was previously a statistician for the Washington DC Department of Health in HIV/AIDS, in addition to extensive field experience in Bangladesh and Ghana. His past consultancies include managing an impact evaluation of Performance-Based Financing in Tajikistan with the World Bank, a large portfolio of public health research, and designing health informatics platforms for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. In his free time, Tashrik enjoys taking cooking classes, biking through and exploring cities, and astronomy.
